1/17 Wheelin and M&G in Mass.

anthony you should buy some full traction la's that will be for sale after sat, the dont give DW but do make alot of noise

i don't care about noise. how much? i was going to build my own 3 link.

is it January yet??

I hope not, I have a lot of stuff to finish on the jeep before it's anything I could call wheelable :shiver:

So thinking of it, where is this wheeling/M&G taking place (I assume it would have to be sent via PM :)).

Also, if I cannot get the Jeep up to par by then is it OK if I show up and ride a dirtbike along the trail just to watch/go along? It is a dual sport so street legal & registered for the road, not obnoxiously loud, etc. I completely understand if it is not OK since what is allowed vs what is not allowed is completely up to the land owner(s) and club... just figured it was worth asking.

it's in Western MA, Rob can PM you more specifics. And as for the dualsport, I can't say what the official verdict is on that, but on a personal level, I would LOVE to watch someone "ride along" in 3ft of snow

...they don't plow it ;)

Could be fun, bring it on!

But on that note, nevermind about the dual sport (though I am still interested in knowing if it would be acceptable on any future runs). There's no way in hell that I will ride the XT out to western MA for a day on a trail. It's not the most comfortable ride in the world and esp isn't a great highway ride unless the weather is real nice. I was thinking there might be a chance that the wheeling may be somewhere in eastern MA, where I would be willing to ride to :)

I'll know closer to the start of January if i can make it, need my front gears bought and installed and need my shock mounts welded and a couple loose ends fixed. I'll take the day off either way if someone has a seat open.

forget the dual sport idea. i've wheeled this trail at least 12 times and only seen one bike on the trail. and that was in july. you'll be lucky if your jeep can make the trail, nevermind dropping your bike every 3 feet.

Depends on the rider... I've seen some people on bikes at Carnage Hill before, and at first glance I kind of laughed to myself and thought "no way, they won't make that, it just won't happen..." and no sooner did I complete the thought, they were already gone.... I gaurantee it's doable haha. Just a matter of skillage :)

Except for quads...

That guy took a serious dump end over end down that ledge.

Well then I would probably be dumping it every 2 feet  Though I would have to see the trail.. I may be able to make it a bit further than that once in a while. haha

i dont forsee a dual sport doin to well in 2 ft of snow, last year we had a good foot of fresh stuff plus a few inches of old stuff, not to mention all the ice under it, i really wouldnt recomend bringing the bike

I was only planning on bringing it if A) the Jeep wasn't ready and B) there happened to be no snow :) I knew it wouldn't do well in the snow (I kicked around in a foot or so of snow last year... it was amusing to slide around everywhere, but that's about it.

snow wheeling... the anticipation is just deadly...
