I will be trying to make this, maybe the first run after the Jeep gets back on the road! Just need to get front/rear recovery points and a spare 33" tire..

I got tow hooks for the front... kindof  (aka I bought them off a friend who sold his Jeep when he moved out of state a couple weeks ago, he said they should be in his toolbox in the basement of his parents house... but the hooks and one of the brackets aren't where he thought they were so his mother is looking for them around the house).

hmmm, will anyone be selling bumpers or other acceptable recovery points by the time this run comes around?

that's what it was last year

Hmmm... I might have seen 3,000 rpm. While shifting... I will be up for going. With any luck there will be a foot and a half of snow again.

you will only be allowed to come if you run racing slicks this time:D

If I run slicks, how do the rest of you plan to run the trail? I think I pulled almost everyone there at one point or another. Tires will be down to 50 percent by then. They lost a ton of traction when the sipeing went a way.

Hmmmmm. I might just have to buy some new tires by then... Are 31s the minimum to make it with the drive by braille approach, or do I stand a chance of still having rocker panels at the end of the trail on 32s?

EDIT: also, I'm open/open, I foresee this being an issue

with this run it's just a lot of high revving go-time. there aren't a ton of trees around too often, just gotta remember that momentum is your friend, especially being open/open. You'll probably need some help getting up a couple of the spots, and body damage is (always) possible, but I don't think you'll need to worry about it *quite* as much on this run as you would with others. That's my opinion anyway, but body damage never phased me so maybe I'm a bit out of touch? :dunno: :laugh3:

Hearing that if I can come up with recovery points and a spare by then I will definitely be there. I know how to floor the s*** out of my Jeep :D

Oh hey, this means I have to fab up my bumpers by then too... well I guess I better get to work!

Come work in my garage and fab me up some bumpers too! :D
Mickey Mouse Fabrication Inc. bumpers include 100% triple booger welded seams for quality and strength!

Oh man, triple booger welded? I just used some of those on my exhaust! I think it's now the strongest part of my Jeep! :wow:

your job is to find 6 for johnny to bounce his jeep off of

i did this trail open open last time, got stuck twice, both were from my stupidity, on a serious side make sure you have soilid recovery points frt and rear, and a full size spare i will not tolerate peaple not having those

i believe that was the first public debut of the hover conversion. last years run also single handidly made me get my jeep back in action and on the street again.
