01 gauges and check gauges light

i swapped an 01 gauge cluster into my 99. when i hold the triometer in and turn the key it does the test and flashes all the lights, i dont see a check engine light, but there is a check gauges light. are they the same thing and just changed the words, or is there a check engine light that is not working. tia

check guages should be red, engine light is orange and just to the left of the check guages IIRC, in the shape of an engine. at least that's how it is on my 2000.

so no words just an orange engine shaped light? i might be up the creek...i didnt see one of those but i will check again. thanks
