How to check Fuel Injector pigtails?

Can someone please explain how I can check to see if I'm getting voltage at the FI pigtail and find out if each injector is firing properly? Is it as simple as connecting a volt meter at the pigtail? If so, what voltage should I be getting and can I check while the engine is running or should I pull the dist cap and just check while turning over? (I'm trying to find what seems to be a misfire and I've thoroughly checked the plugs, wires, cap ect. Since mice have chewed the FI wiring I suspect it is somewhere there. Just installed brand new K-Suspension Bosch 4-hole injectors so not really suspecting the injector itself.)

What you are looking for is called a "noid" light.

You can get a set of them from Amazon pretty cheap. Might be able to "rent" them at a local auto parts store. Pick the one that fits the pigtail socket and crank the motor. It will flash each time there is a voltage signal.
