First, I´d get a set of LED headlights for everyday use. Truck-Lite is absolutely OK for what they cost, J.W.Speaker 8900 Evo are the best you can get but more expensive.
Then, when it comes to LED bars I´d mount them under the roof rack.

I Need to replace the alternator on my 00 XJ. The vehicle has two 70Ah AGM batteries and some auxiliary lights, a winch, a fridge etc. That's why I would like to upgrade to a stronger alternator. Since there are practically no US vehicles on our junkyards I need to buy a new alternator.

I´d get a set of LED headlights and driving lights first... the headlights from J.W.Speaker (modell 8900, running them myself and love them) and the additional driving lights from Vision-X (how about two small LED bars instead of the round driving lights?)
Running the Brodit ProClip and Ram Mount products since years in every vehicle and was selling these products and still am. Absolutely great stuff!
