So some of yall may have heard that I have been out of the office since last wednesday, and trust me it was no vacation lol

So I being 30 and drug free, not in the best shape but no where near in the worst shape of my life decided to have a pretty severe heart attack. I have no family history of this and still the Doc can not pin point what caused this.
So here I am not knowing what I am suppose to do and not do, eat and not eat.

anyways if anyone called for me last week I apologize for not being here and as well as the delayed replies to PMs

Thanks
Jason

Eat right, live healthy, die anyway.

That being said..... don't let it get you down. You're still alive, which beats the alternative. The medicos may not know what caused it now, they may figure it out tonight, tomorrow, next week, etc. Probably the biggest thing that you can do is to pay close attention to yourself for any changes, and talk to your doctors.

Sorry to hear this at age 30. That is surprising.
But at least you can post about it.
Eat salmon and sardines. They have heart healthy fats.
But not farm raised. Both must be wild caught to be effective.

Stay away from the fried ice cream and fried cokes, it might be better for you. :D

I thought I had one a couple of years ago a year after I started here. Three days of intensive tests after a 5am ambulance ride, including the video camera tour of my heart from the inside.
I quit smoking cigs like that [snap of fingers] after 40 years though and that was a good thing.
Good luck. Start walking.

Fish oil and cardio (or exercise in general).

For me, it's not really feasible to try to eat deep water fish everyday, so that's where the fish oil tablets come in.

Start with small steps like eating a little less, eating a little more healthy, and being a little more active, and just build on it and you'll probably be amazed at what a difference it will make

Good luck and best wishes!

Damn Jason, that sucks man. Glad to hear you are doing ok after that. If you need anything dude you know we're here for ya bro!

Wow suck to hear about that, makes me want to take better care of myself

Sorry to hear, But i'm glad you are ok now. The walking will do wonders for you.Like they said above, PLEASE talk to your doctor. I had a good friend drop in a drug store from one of these and i still miss this him today.

Damn...

With all I've been through, my heart is one of the few things I have that works well anymore (my cardiologist sez I have the heart of a bull - which I could have told him without all of the tests... I have a cardiologist because he was the only one who could figure out how to manage my post-traumatic HTN.)

Go out for a walk every day - even if it's only a half-mile. You'll eventually walk more anyhow, and it does you good.

Contrary to what most idiot-minded America thinks, eat LOTS of fats... Just make sure they're the right kind. Mono and Polyunsaturated. Stay away from trans fat like the plague, and monitor saturated fat. If you're working out like a monster sat fat will be broken down into testosterone and used beneficially, but too much in a lethargic lifestyle is not good. Adjust your cholesterol intake and cut down on sodium. Or drink more water to compensate.

-Fish
-Olive oil
-Peanut butter (NATURAL. Not jiff or skippy or that sugar loaded shit. Get PB that literally has only peanuts listed in the ingridients.)
-Avocados
-Any nuts (non salted)

Cardio is another huge player in keeping your heart health. Anything to get your heart rate up. Climb a staircase everyday? Make a habbit to jog up it instead of lugging yourself up the handrail everyday.

My father in law is very active and never sits down. He developed a huge clot in his leg that ended up in his lung.

Just goes to show that inactivity isn't the only cause of clots.

Something i've come realize more and more over the last couple of years. Went through a good part of life not losing anybody close, then lost several within a couple of years. Really makes you step back and have a new look on things.

Glad to see you're still posting Jason.

A good friend of mine passed away at age 41 last week. She had never had any heart problems. She had shortness of breath and went to the ER, they found she had a 90% blockage. She died waiting to go into the OR for bypass surgery, just a few more minutes and she would have been on the bypass machine and would have made it.

Consider yourself one of the lucky ones, your still alive
