for the rear suspension, my shackle angle used to blow ass, and my leaf packs were way too stiff, so I had to do something about it.
I cut off the part of the shackle box that flares out -
drew out a flat pattern for my rear shackle box replacer thingy -
had my balding shop bitch cut it out for me -
had it formed up -
fit well -
drilled holes for plug welds -
kept the original bolt for extra strength? -
welded and ground -
made some tabs -
welded them on, boxed them in, and painted it -
much better shackle angle at ride height -
and my rear axle actually kinda flexed some!
all in all, I think I moved the bolt about 2" down and 3" or so (maybe 4"?) forward...
I also removed a leaf from each pack...
the ride is A LOT nicer...
