I miss Chicago weirdness sometimes. One day I was working on the xj in our lot late and night and a drunk homeless guy eating fried chicken he found in the trash Sat down against the car next to me and started having a gibberish conversation with himself and occasionally laughing. Then he passed out and slept through me banging ujoints out with a hammer. He was there for a good 4 hours

Portage County deputies as well as the city police depts are encoded. Fire and EMS aren't. You need something better than a $30 FM to get the ability to pick up encoded stuff. But, if I feel curious I'll go sit at my FD and listen to our base radios for police.
