not much has happened with the poopbox lately... started it and let it run for awhile...
got driver seat and harness in...still along ways to go.

my stupid f150 dropped reverse, and OD started slipping first of the year... somehow, like a sign from a higher power this showed up at my buddies shop down the street, the same night...



1997 cherokee country.
225xxx on the clock. runs great.
absolute minimum rust, few small bubbles on hatch.
some serious paint fad - not a big deal.
wrecked front bumper.

picked it up for the sweet price of 1500$ not that its an amazing deal, but for a clean good running xj in michigan...with todays prices, a steal to me.

Ive been working on getting it updated, oil change, dif drain and fill, t case drain and fill, LED interior, brakes all around, u joints all around, hub bearings, and have been slowly collecting its build parts. cant decide if i should start it a build thread also, or just drop it in here.

it will be a DD/go faster then the poopbox/silver lake kinda build.

Did you get a look at your truck? What year is it? I just had one (2004) come through, OD was gone, the friggin servo blew its retaing ring to bits, and was sitting a top the valve body. Pretty common on these trucks says the parts guy a Ford. Right at about 150k

dropped it off at the shop, has extended warranty on it. Getting a "factory rebuilt" with 18 month warranty on it.

but its an 07 with 129xxx on it.

Very tempting. I missed pre registration. And i dont have everything in the guildlines to attend an event. Not that it would be very hard to get a fire extinguisher, full sized spare, cb/frs, etc. its only on 31s open/open :/.

I stopped by ya for a second on my way out, to return a radio. Was kinda in a hurry out, time restraint on parts pick up back in south haven. should have at least introduced myself. is what it is, next time im making sure i dont have 20 other things to get done the same weekend.
