ZJ engine swap to XJ; accessories?

From what I have read, unless your engine build calls(4.7 turboed stroker) fors it just run a stock quality pump. The high volume pumps are sometimes known to wear the cam gear and dizzy gear that drives the pump. They weren't made to handle to load of the high volume pump. Especially factory parts.

Actually the engine performance parts we used Recommended a regular oil pump and would not warranty if a high volume pump was used. That is the whole volume vs pressure thing and the camshaft wear.
But factory pumps should be fine for most set ups. I can think of a few where upping the pressure is beneficial, most are good with oem.

Damn, glad you brought this up. Never would have known, and who knows what I would have done knowing that I still have parts to order
