Zips 2.0 My 98 build

My rear axles coming out tomorrow, I think im going to do JK upper control arms and some adjustable lowers and call it a day. That should stretch my front 2 ish inches so I wont need to do a new drive shaft and my angles will be alot better. Tomorrow im finishing my bumps then throwing my coils in and putting it back to ride height then just finishing my steering up and yeah she should be good!

A lot has happened.

I got a shortened drive shaft, bump stops in, finished mocking up my steering, ordered wheel spacers, got my shock towers coming, and put two new u joints in my drive shaft.


New seats I got for free are in




Also I got my axle in for gearing and can't wait for it to be done.

What's The maximum amount of thread exposed that is safe in a 7/8 hiem? I have about a half inch of thread exposed on my steering mock up.

Also spacers are ordered And my shock towers are on the way.
 
Looking good bro. You going to be ready for a Mabell trip next month?

I hope so man! I really want to go but I don't know how the finances will look. Also do you still have that groover?

I'd say you want at least 1/2" of thread hidden/engaged.

Updates. All the stuff in the front end is together, I need to bleed the brakes and put my rear shocks in then shes done. Ordered a cheap light bar for shits and giggles.
 
Overheated my Trans and flushed it.
It drives but reverse is eh in high it slips if you try and go to fast in low range I don't have any issues with it.

It drives nice very mild bump steer no wobble no complaints. It actually drives better than stock! And the rear shocks are working great! I parked it next to the free jeep for s&gs
 
It is doing fine other than a small issue I have no gauges! It popped the iod I replaced that with a 25 and then lost my gauges again. I know that a 25 was to big but it was my only spare and I was on the side of the road. It was fine then I replaced my alternator because my old one was dead as hell. After wheeling last night I lost gauges.
 
Sell the jeep to someone before you are an idiot and burn it to the ground with dumb ideas like that.

Don't uprate fuses unless you like replacing fuses AND wiring harnesses.

Yeah kastien your correct I found the issue and am fixing it. I will only be running appropriate fuses. I have found a short some in the iod circuit. I am going to go through it and test every ground and follow all the wires. I am also replacing my fix to the fuse box, the jeep is doing great for me other than this issue, and I don't want to burn it down. I have one rust spot to fix and I want to do stiffeners/box rockers.
