Hey I recognize that JeepsPlus decal! I remember when they used to have tons of XJs. Nice build. Really liking those lights you mounted on the winch and thought about wiring them the same way. Got any pictures of them on?
Yeah I bought both my Cherokees from them! No pics of lights, I will get some though.
I started working on my tire carrier 2.0. I used to have one on my bumper but I didn’t like the hinge or it being on the passenger side, really killed visibility out the back glass.
So I started on making a better hinge and moving it to the driver side and the hinge support is not done; it will be getting gussets on the lower tab and another upright support.

My Logan's bumper uses heims for the hinge, not quite quad shear on the bolt tho. Nice design.
Yeah after seeing yours gave me the heim idea.
Tire is heavy so unless Walt wants to model it and run some analysis on it, I figure I better over engineer it…lol
Burned the hinge in, should have put some washers in between everything before welding, heat sucked everything tight, had to do some clearancing with the grinder. But it fits nice now and I really like the dual heims, I was able to fine tune and make the swing out nice and level.
