XJ Rebuild...

Like Christmas!

Started with a winch plate from HF... not bad for 23$ and 1/4 plate

Cut to fit...

Had to cut the header panel and will trim the grill...

I'd like to see some more pictures of this setup. Did you weld the winch plate to the bumper? Is that a JCR bumper?

The winch plate will be welded on and the rear winch plate bolts will catch the back part of the bumper where I have angle iron. I will also be adding 4 gussets to catch the overhang of the winch plate.

I just hope I don't have any cooling issues by blocking so much of the radiator....

Nice, I have the same set-up, just not as nice looking. Good job. I haven't had any cooling issues, but I don't drive on the street.

Thanks. I may have to steal this idea for my current bumper.

I got another fuse block from the JY and robbed some parts of it to put all my accessories fuses and move my alternator fuse...

Started with this...

Really worked pretty slick. I now have the ARB compressor/ Aux fan/ Headlight relays in the Maxi fuse spots and I have 2 mini fuses, one for a hot wire into the cab and one for my aux light. I also ran one extra Maxi fused location for future.

So I got around to finishing the wiring using the factory fog light switch. I also found my switch was working intermittently, the internals had overheated and it was cracked on the piece that slides inside the switch, luckily jeep was thinking when they designed these and they used the same internals on the wiper switch. I had a spare so I was able to fix it.

And I put in a USB charger in place of the cigarette lighter, like it was supposed to be there!

And I got all my relays moved to one spot with the wiring all nice and clean!
