WTF is up with Peterson's 4Wheel and Off-Road?

I just recieved a letter from them today:

"Dear Matthew,

I'm thrilled with how many 4 wheel & off road magazine subscribers have said Yes to my personnel invitation to participate in the new Ultimate Four Wheeling Video Series, and was surprised when your name showed up on the No Response List."

What a load of crap.

It goes on and says, "we look forward to you decision by sending in your reply form today" (purchase agreement).

Don't think so. They even sent me this video after I had stopped subscribing to the mag.

I guess I approached it wrong. I got the DVD and had no interest in keeping it so sent it back to them. I got two nastygrams saying I hadn't returned it and to pay up. Haven't heard from them in about a month and a half, so maybe they gave up. Should have just kept it like the rest of you. Pretty crappy way to run a business, but then considering the quality of the magazine these days, it all fits together.

Damn!!! I got mine a couple of weeks ago. I thought the coin was my 2-year medallion and the vid was shot the last time I got liquored up.
Now you tell me.
Dan.

it would seem that they are trying to clear out old inventory of the 2000 or 2001 TTC..

I think you hit on something there, I watched the DVD and it was at least a couple years old. It was the one with the tall leaf sprung Cherokee and Steve Ruhmore was in it with the Sniper. Some cool footage but not a very good presentation and it is in mono?!? I thought sterio sound came out a long time ago?

I was just looking through a petersons mag and saw a subscription form and down at the bottom it asks " I want to receive offers for other services/products, yes no " I too received the dvd in the mail but don't remember if I checked yes or no, do you guys know what you checked? If I did check yes I guess I am legally susposed to pay or send it back. Not real sure but just thought I'd let you guys know.

So tell me what you knucklebuts are complaining about? I got a DVD with some cool footage for free and made some brownie points with the boss cuz I gave him the VHS. Sounds like a win-win to me

okay, this is kinda off topic- but not completely...I got double-shipped on a $300 buffer, i was only charged once so far... does this kinda fall under the same deal for the second one, or do i have to send it back?

As for BMG and Columbia House.

Minuted after you recieve you first order call them and tell the rep you want to be placed on teh perferred members list.

As a perferred member they don't send the cards and will not automail you cd's or dvd's unless you specifically ordered them.
