willing pay up to one BILLION dollars for a good fan shroud for my 87.
However, since I don't even have a thousand laying around, anyone with a more reasonable price will be considered first.

Thanks fellas.

Did your fan eat yours too??

it did that a long time ago - which caused me to put the napa motor mounts in.... which apparently didn't last too long.
now I'm on radiator #3, a CSF 3 core, and after fighting with the radiator mount all day Sat to move it back 2", I figured I'd go for broke and buy a new shroud too. :)

They're about $15 brand new from the dealer. At least that's what I paid for one a few years back.

thanks. I'll check that out. I'm used to FSJ world where stuff just don't exist no mo....

Not to jack the thread or anything, but has anyone ever had any trouble getting their shroud to go in? I broke TWO brand new ones cause they just didn't wanna go! :flamemad:

i understand to get them to go down nicely you gotta feed 'em a couple glasses of wine and promise them marriage....

Haha I hear that...
That's what I shoulda done... I used lube instead :roflmao:
This is what happened after I cracked the SECOND brand new one and got pissed off and hucked it across the garage... it broke again in my hand while I was throwin in... that plastic's freakin SHARP.

Ouch...

You should post up in the OEM forum..

Are you trying to install the shroud with the fan on?? I don't know what the "proper" way to install the shroud. However, I remove the fan, install the shroud, then the fan.

Ya, the funny part is, I don't remember how I finally got the shroud on the last time (about a year ago). But I did it recently after getting a new motor and it freakin slipped in w/out a problem... beats the hell outta me... :dunno:
