wtb: fan shroud

my mechanical fan shroud bit the dust today. anyone have one? should i just say screw it and put a second electrical fan in there?

Should be able to find one at Ecology.
I would say no on the electric conversion unless you need to be able to turn them off (deep water crossings) I have seen to many friends jeeps have overheating problems after an electric fan "upgrade".
If you really want to make an improvement while you are there, look into the ZJ fan clutch from NAPA.

just so happens i have a zj fan and clutch from that zj i got from badgeye. i have the shroud too but it looks different, didnt look to see if it'll fit. looks bigger.
i'd like to go, is there a thread with the details, or do i just show up?

Lcloseramppost pizza in Vista, most folks show up about 6ish, we are at the firepit on the back patio.

Never heard of using the ZJ fan before, don't think it will fit, as it is larger. However put the XJ fan on the ZJ clutch, and it will be a little overly stiff, helping cool your XJ better, as the fan will move faster

Get your fan shroud first. When you do the ZJ upgrade the shroud will not fit between the radiator and fan. Kinda have to work around the shroud while putting the fan on the ZJ fan clutch... Ask me how i know...... :banghead:

haha thanks for the tip, i did notice it was pretty tight in there.
