2001 xj passenger front from 4 door although I imagine front or rear passenger would work?

Unless there is just a spring broken in here? The mechanism that would close over the strike plate just swings back and forth with no resistance.
 
FYI the rear is different, it has the child lock thing on it.

I have one from the passenger side front. I'm in Boulder. PM me if you are interested.
