WTB : A non-P.O.S XJ.

Went to look at an XJ in Golden today...total bust.
So I'm still looking for an XJ for my daughter. Here's what I'm looking for....NOT a P.O.S!

It's gotta be a 91-01, 4.0L, AW4, no major body damage, No rusted-out gutters or floorboards.



Basically a relatively clean (not mint/perfect condition), stock DD XJ that YOU would feel comfortable letting your child drive on the highway as well as around town.


Honest folks can PM me or post here, Douche-Nozzles can simply move along.

Pics from the drivers front corner looked okay, but seeing the passenger side in person was a whole nuther story.
gutter was rusted to the point it was flapping in the breeze, mileage was stated to be 166k but was actually 225k, interior smelled like a freshly washed whorehouse, budget boost was "some assembly required...so basically used crap in a shoe box.....

Why can't people just be honest and upfront?
I know I was going to look at a less than perfect XJ....but DAMN!

Good luck Frank!!! Tammy and I looked at well over a dozen over the course of about 6 months for one clean enough to be worth our time. Same as you're experiencing, not even close to what they claim it to be.

Got tired of running out of area for promising leads because of the wasted effort. Guy in Parker even told me no rust when I stated if it had any not to waste my time. Got up there and quarter size rust spots on the roof - like a hundred dollars worth!!

Picking one up today. Not perfect....but better than what we've found in our price range so far.

High miles but I'm swapping some axle work for a 108k motor.
