Worn steering box

When I replaced my steering components about half a year ago, I noticed that the shaft inside the steering box that connects to the pitman arm has maybe 1/16" of play, side to side. I believe this is the result of the truck wandering around on the road.

Does anyone have a place in SoCal they could recommend to rebuild my steering box?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Get one from Autozone with a warranty

Call Lee Mfg. You'll spend more $$ but you'll only do it once. The price on Saginaw gear box parts is going up, PSC's prices have nearly tripled in the last year due to parts availability. Lee is now cheaper than PSC, and if you have the time they can rebuild your gear box. If you have big tires and wheel it much, long term you'll be happy you spent the extra money for a performance rebuilt gear box. Lee is in Sun Valley, CA 818-768-0371.

I have a brand new mopar steering box here at the house, let me know when you want to swap it out? I also have a feeling the wandering you are having is related to ball joints and too much toe in on the front end.

He is terrible...he has rebuilt Beamer's stuff over and over and can't get it right and they offer almost no warranty.

He has the FULL tommy lee set up with pump, ram, steering box, hoses, and it just plain doesn't work and he is only on 33s.

go PSC and don't look back.

PSC makes good stuff AND completely warranties what they make. They have ALWAYS taken care of me when I had (many many) issues with steering.

Thanks for the information everyone! PSC looks like the way to go - I like warranties.

I offered to buy it off of you on the way back from Moab - you never said you wanted to sell it so I assumed it wasn't up for grabs.

This is a very good point!
