Working has it's advantages

Yeah, I'm worried about mine...as you know my rig is rarely clean, out of the elements or otherwise maintained.

Mine gets hosed off. It's like a hunting shotgun. Spray it down to get most of the dirt off/out, then oil as necessary. Still functions as needed.
 
They use larger diameter rope that's pulled/heated just enough to make the diameter smaller. It's not just 'off the shelf' stuff, it goes through their process. IIRC it has about 2x the breaking strength of Amsteel...for the same diameter.

What you are saying is correct, but the Superline is also made by a different company. Amsteel blue is much softer of a line, it is very pliable and you can very easily separate the strands. The Superline is stiffer and also much stronger then regular line. You will have a much harder time seperating and cutting the strands of a Superline.

Testing out some product today:



This is one of our kinetic tow ropes, the thing is simply amazing. There is little to no jerk inside the vehicle and it works very well.
