could you hook a paying member up with discounts? cuz holy crap that winch rope is expensive...looks quality though and i like how it comes with a heat guard for the bottom of the spool i was looking into amsteel blue line but now i have 2 options haha

Honestly Amsteel Blue is not the strongest stuff, check out this page and look at the 5/16th inch ones. I have the 5/16ths Superline on mine, I used to have a Amsteel Blue on mine but switched it out for the Superline.

yea i think imma spend the extra 130 and go with master pull...and its not a crazy blue rope on the otherwize zero blue jeep

Right on, what does your avatar say btw? I can't read the fine print.

Well when I first read the title I was going to say well yeah Captain Obvious, it's called a paycheck! But definitely, nice score!

But, let me get this straight....you come out to your Jeep at school, find a business card, call the dude, go for a visit, and walk out with all that free stuff AND a job???

One more thing...diggin the black on the sides. I did it to mine last year and I love the look!

Pretty much, I never thought I would be rewarded for building my jeep.

Anyways I made this today:

It's about a 50' section of leftover Superline so that I have an extension.

Damn thats not a bad price for winch rope. Whats amsteel like twice that?

They use larger diameter rope that's pulled/heated just enough to make the diameter smaller. It's not just 'off the shelf' stuff, it goes through their process. IIRC it has about 2x the breaking strength of Amsteel...for the same diameter.
I know about the Master-Pull advantages. I was hoping that Alex wouldn't just leave a claim like that hanging is all. ;)

Either way, I'm still not totally sold on synthetic line. I'm running Amsteel blue (which comes from the fishing industry, people who are not exactly easy on gear) only because it was free and I wanted to save weight. I've seen more synthetic lines break than I have cable. I know the arguments for it, which is all nice and dandy, but I put my old steel cable through a lot of abuse I know synthetic would not have stood up to. Just another perspective.

I suspected that, lol. The old salesman in me coming out to 'save the day'. :anon:

I'm not sold on synthetic line here for a DD that stays outside. I've got dirt and crap in my line that probably would have chewed synthetic up and spit it out. I also don't want to put Delrin rollers or an aluminum hawse on my ARB bullbar. :rof:
