I thought so. I know there was a story about either you or bones breaking through the ice!

You better be there!

what was/is the purpose of the 'other' website when we have this one?? I hope it's not just so we can swear online. it sounds like without it we wouldn't need as much money.

The chapter website exists to discuss issues that do not directly affect the chapter. THIS forum is for chapter buisness and related information only, off-topic stuff and general chat goes in the other forum.

Finally, someone hit it on the head.
Forewheeler realized that I called some folks drama queens last year and did the same thing this year.
It's too easy.
Hell, with you guy's memories, I'm doing it next year too.:D
Bitches.

I have been to 5. Starting in 2001. Seen plenty of ice & mud, but haven't had the pleasure of the deep snow. JIM.

I think this is all silly... it is what it is; if you want Winterfest a certain way then volunteer for the steering committee. Otherwise just show up and have a good time.

Sorry not silly. Unlike last year at least the "steering committee" will have a good idea what the majority of people want. Last year it appeared the committee was going to "steer" WF in the direction they wanted with no input from the people who wanted to attend. IMHO this is exactly the discussion that should have taken place last year BEFORE any descisions were made about WF. I know this type of discusion did take place but only after people found out the commitee was looking to change the venue. And the venue change was rejected by the National BOD not the MWC even after the discusion.

I officially volunteer to be on the steering committee. Don't know if that makes any difference or not?

Help?
Hell, I'd be happy if the vocal individuals would just attend this year.

I agree this thread is not silly as long as posts remain postive and good ideas are presented.

Bob ... I appreciate yours and several others' interest in helping plan Winterfest 2006.

As a member of last years committee, I can assure you we did not plan the event around what we as a committee wanted, rather, it was planned around what we thought most attendees would like. In addition, we wanted to plan an event future Winterfest Committees could use to improve on.

I am sure the committee member list will be anounced soon if not already. This years committee is made up of individuals that have voiced ideas in how to acheive this goal. I am looking forward to the upcoming Winterfest and am confident it will be better than ever.

I was there but I know who you are talking about. In his defense there were things that came up that were out of his control.

Brad, you know me, and some of what my life was about last year. Sh!t happens sometimes, that's life. If this comment was directed towards me, be assured that I will be there for 06, last year was the first and only WF I couldn't make as a member of NAXJA.

I'd also be happy to help plan, and/or lead for this year. Let me know what is needed and I'll be there.

You remember talking to her at the BBQ right?

According to her...

She likes to offroad her CJ

You bastards better be there.
If we're gonna drive that far again, there'd better be more entertaining people than Flowers, Chewy, and KY.
Those guys made me want to fall asleep whenever they were around.
