Winterfest Raffle Item...Installed

...and how to win a raffle from 500 miles away...

Thanks Pat for throwing some $$ for me into the raffle pot at winterfest and then managing to get "my" ticket drawn for the rockrails...then toting them (well in GeneMJ's truck) back to IN.

Here are the rockrails on a saturday morning, installed, after a hard nights worth of drinkin in bloomington.

This is a my semi-daily driven 1996 XJ (babyxj).

You'll also notice, the front bumper, yep thats the bumper I won in the raffle at winterfest 2006. I had just bought the little XJ prior to that event.

Can someone tell me who donated the front bumper and the rock rails so that I can tell people when they ask.

Winterfest 2008...I need a rear bumper tire carrier for the little jeep. So those of you that do the raffle...please work to get one donated for me Thanks.


Specs on the little jeep
1996 XJ Country 4d 4.0 auto, 158k, d30 braced in the weak spots, trimmed where needed, d44 rear, 4.10s, $120 JCWhitney 3in lift, RE adj track bar, procomp lower control arms, 31x10.5x15 BFG AT kos, (insert company) front bumper, (insert company) rock rails, everything on this jeep was acquired in a deal, won at a raffle, bought used, or from my other XJ, and lots of other little upgrades and mods that I've learned over the years building my other XJ.
I bought the jeep a little over a year ago for $600 and have about $1500 in it.

Nice and clean jeep you have Mac. I can remember when my 96 looked almost like that when I first got it.

and after a year or so of beating the crap out of it and some mods I don't think I take it easy on anything I own.

I'm slowly gathering parts for my regear. When I'm done I think I'm going to get a hold of you, and see if your buddy can do the install for me. Looking to be in the fall sometime.

Oh if you happen to come across a set of TJ flares for cheep let me know I'm hunting for a set would like 4 rears.

Scooby...just let me know, there are two guys up here that do outstanding jobs in regearing axles, and do it for a very fair price. One or the other should be availible...
