Yep, thank god my heat works, otherwise we would be showing up with the Toy. This is one of those very few times when I might regret cutting the back off the XJ.
Sadly, if I wasn't in the middle of my pre-season teardown and inspection, I'd be all over this. With the open cab and no amenities. I've had a lot of great trips like that in the snow over the years...at least until someone gets really stuck or broken. Then the fun evaporates in a hurry
Sorry guys, I won't be able to make it to arcticfest this weekend. Me and my kids have been really sick all week. They've missed school and I've missed three days of work. There is no way we are gonna feel up to wheeling in single digits on Saturday.
I'll still be there, but I am bringing the Toy up now. It will probably be the only black lifted 4Runner in the parking lot on Saturday so it should be easy to spot. Not wheeling hard either. Maybe get harder as the day goes on, but I have to build my confidence in it a bit as this is its first real wheeling adventure. I don't have a CB in it yet either.
Sounds like Rich and Carol won't be making it either...
I'm still planning to come up, as long as somebody else is there to wheel with. My pos XJ with urban camo and torn front fenders. The only other guy in the local group who is still acting interested would be bringing a Toyota pickup
Kieth aka grand caddy and myself will be there 8am-ish in the parking lot ready to wheel, so if people are worried no one will be there when they arrive have no worries.
Well I feel like a douche but kieth and I are out , kieth is sick as shit and Im fighting a drivability issue jeep is randomly running rough dumping back smoke . I messed with it today but haven't pin pointed the issue .
Weather be dammed today was awesome ! Gonna get to work on pics asap and thank you to everyone that came out and tried to break the tach needle out of your gauge cluster .
Wow, what a day!! Wheelspin and rev limiter were definitely where it was at today. Lots of fun though, and it was great to meet Eric Hall and Thomas Ross (Tacoma-Tom) too. Here is a few pics from the day... plenty more out there too.
