although im not a fan of smittybuilt, i have to say their customer service is above excellent. i thought i would have to use a few choice words with them but they were really easy to work with. they sent me a new winch along with a prepaid shipping tag to return the broken winch, all free of charge.....twice.

Do they ship to remote wooded locations 20 miles from the nearest paved road? I'd love to see a UPS truck on 40's

I run the xrc8 and it's been great. It's fast and reliable.

I used to run a milemarker 9k. It NEVER failed me when i needed it but it failed when i didn't. One strange winch. I went through two motors during the three years I had it but I sunk it in mud quite a few times.

i am really curious as to how this is mounted to your bumper???

That article was awsome and just made up my mind.

and almost every issue of jp magazine has a HF coupon for 20% off any item.

Whole new light on the Chicago Electric right now and online Harbor Freight shows the 8000lb winch at 279.00 right now instead off 300.00.

When I was ordering my Backbone from DetoursUSA, Mark told me to read this article. He sells the Superwinch line too. After reading the article and talking with him, I purchased an EP9.0 from him and love it. I've used it in several extrations and it is fast and works when I need it to.
