I have had my 99 for 3 years and it always kind of hunted at idle. like hte a/c was on all the time.
well yesterday me feet were cold ( real cold) and I decided to take the ac cluthc relay out and see if my ac was really on.
well all ofthe ac components were cold after lunch ( 10 min drive)
so I pulled the relay. click. ( the ign was on but the jeep was not running)
the ac was off.
start jeep engine idles smoothly no hunt.
shut off jeep put ign on sut off heater/ blower. ac. put the relay in (click)
so it seems that on teh control side of the circuit my relay is being told to engage.
can soemoen else do the same test and let me know if their relay is constantly energized whenthe ign is running.
