Who with beadlocks still carries a spare??

cant you deflate the spare fully and fit it in the back with the back seat up? id rather have it than not. nothing like ruining a wheeling trip however many miles from home because you dont have a spare and cut a sidewall. if you dont have oba, and nobody else onthe run does than something is wrong with that picture.

with my tool/parts chest in the hatch area, I have no room left, well room for a cooler, but that's it. If I tear a side wall, the tire is junk if I can't patch it on the trail, so driving back on it won't hurt anything. I'll have one on the bus. Just made a deal for a 38 and a bead lock ring for $100 for the pair, just need another wheel.

I've torn tires (radials) with my bead lock wheels to the point of no return. The other point would be, do you really want to dispoint your bead lock on a trail to repair it? 24-32 bolts would be a real pain especially with all your buddys laughing at you the whole time. Beezil doesn't need a spare because he only wheels once a year & buys new tires before every trip. If you're wheeling someplace like Moab or JV where you setup base camp & go out on day trips than having the spare back at camp would be acceptable. A buddy would just have to run back to camp & get it real quick if needed. On trips that take 2-3 day to do I feel a spare is a must carried on the truck.

I do the base camp thing, if I were to do a weekend trip, I have a trailer that the spare would go in.

Dude...
I carry a spare, but not on a bead-lock (4 on are bead locks), but I have been known to run 3-4 days out in the bush, camping on the trail. Too far away from the tow rig to practically go back. But I also carry spare fuel pump, axle shafts, u-joints, gasoline, etc.

Depends on your wheeling style.

fuel pump? who needs a fuel pump, just getcherself a can of start fluid, pop the hood, and have someone sit over the engine and spay into the throttle body while you drive on out! :dunce: :D
