There is a huge (for South Carolina) Sand pit outside of Darlington. They Call it Saudi.

not quite Carolina here, but 15 min from N.C.

BTW, I've got a huge (for most anywhere) sand pit outside of my front door. They call it the Eastern Seaboard!! (I live on the beach) :sunshine:

That allows offroading? The only place I've been that allows is Fort Fisher just below Wilmington and another place in Carolina Beach 15 minutes above Ft. Fisher.

I am from North Augusta, SC. I wheel an 89' XJ Black. It has a 4" lift consisting of TrailMaster coils, rubicon express extended control arms, JKS swaybar disconnect, front superlift shocks and rear has trailmaster add-a-leaf and rough country 2" lift shackles with trailmaster shocks and energy suspension poly leafspring bushings. The motor, tranny and transfer have 15,000 miles on rebuild and the rear has a stock locker out of a wrangler thanks to my last gulches trip. I am fixing to order new bumpers and a winch. I am running 33/12.5r15 MT Baja Claws.

Bishopville SC,
And about 20 minutes from here...in Kershaw County...is a service road for the gas company. It goes on for miles, mostly sand, but looks promising for a free ride in the woods. NOT one rock!
