Yeah whidbey record and hot pads worked for me what area do you have in mind ? Northend there is alot of navy housing that opens up and the southend is kinda hard to find a decent place without Tweekers living next door .Hope that helps
We had good luck with Whidbey Homes for rent. We lived there for 2 years and they were great to us and we had very nice house on the North West side of the Island just south of the base. http://www.whidbeyhomesforrent.com/ Give it a look tell them the Wells Family sent you.
Been on Whidbey going on five years now, always used MilitaryByOwner.com - great site. It's how we found our current condo out in Coupeville.
Just a heads up, the law forces on the rock are quite prejudiced towards 'wheelers. I can't count how many times I've been pulled over for mudflaps and vehicle height-related violations (cops know the XJ is technically a station wagon.. sigh) whereas the street-queens on 40" tires with 22" rims get away scot-free, lol.
Ive never been messed with for mud flaps and my diff's are painted so you can way see straight over my axles if you are in a honda .Jeepermatt I think Ive seen your rig at the bluefox I also just moved to Coupeville by the OLF .
You probably have, it's the only one around town that's my exact color, lifted, with the caution stripe bumpers and "F*ck your hybrid" on the hatch, lol.
As for the mudflaps, that's probably the main thing I get pulled for. I tend to forget to re-install them after 'wheeling. Granted I didn't start getting messed with until I went with a larger, more aggressive tire.
I'm in California 'til August 8th, but we should meet up sometime and hit up Walker or something.
