When the world stoped turning thta September day?

I'll never forget....I was driving my work truck pulling into Safeway Falcon,CO Iwas glued to the Radio all day at work. Then I took my sweetie out to Dinner for our 1 year anniversary(of our first date)

Never Forget! Never Surrender!

Getting ready for work, my wife called me into the other room to see the TV. I watched the second plane.

I went to work and blurted the news to my manager who had been at work for two hours already. He said "OsamaBinLaden!!!" and started searching the news sites from his office.

That poor fawker is going to remember me for the rest of his life.

I was in Meridian Mississippi working at the fire department. I had just finished taking the crash/rescue truck out to test the agents. I was standing on top filling the main tank with water when a coworker ran out of the fire house and told me what happened. We were all glued to the tv and I watched as many of my fellow fire fighters died trying to save those trapped in the towers......

Got up, took a shower, drove in to work which was like 5 blocks a away (never watch the news or listen to the radio right after getting up).

Everyone was standing in the front of the store staring at the TV on the wall (which was weird as the manager was there as well and had not yelled at anyone to get back to work). I asked: "What was going on?"

After a few quick explanations and I watched all the re-caps of the planes hitting I was in complete awe and denial.

It has been so long ago and so much has happened since then, but at times it feels like it was just yesterday.

As Frank said, never forget, never forgive.................many men and women have died since then. :patriot:

Eating a bowl of kix's getting ready for school. I remember watching it and telling my mom that some building was on fire, then wathed the plane hit the building and asked my mom what was going on. She sat me down and hugged me and kissed. Took me to school after that, and the entire day we watched the news. Really sad day I remember that.

As stated above, never forget. Even though I was really young I will still never forget.

I feel the exact same way!

And thanks to all who have sacrificed since!:patriot:

I was 12 years old, and my brothers and I were busy burning down my family's chicken coop (we had a farm in Kansas). We had no idea what was happening on the other side of the country...

Sitting in class... teacher turned on the TV as soon as we got word. Didn't really realize what was happening until that second plane hit. We all sat and watched, completely silent, and then went home afterward.

I was in 2nd grade teacher turned it on and we all got dismissed like 20 minuites later never forget my heart goes out to all the people who lost someone that day and all of our troops over there in Iraq.

man all you guys are makin me feel old! I'd been out of school for several years already!

I was in 6th grade and I was getting ready for school... I went into my parents room to see the second plane hit.. I watched both towers come down. I didn't go to school that day..

THAT was the day I decided I wanted to be a fire fighter.

NEVER FORGET!

I was a sophomore in high school. Sitting in the hallway waiting for my first class. My freshman receiver's coach (Sparky Adair) came bookin' it down the hall. I followed him into his classroom and he turned on CNN, we watched the second plane hit. We rotated from class to class as the bells rang. Didn't do a thing except sit in front of the TV. Except chemistry, she refused to turn on the TV and actually taught class.........:thumbdn:

Second grade, Christ.........................

Ummmm................ I had been in the military for 8 years at that point....

I was on my way to work when I heard the first reports on the 106.7s locker room and remember thinking it was some sort of joke. When I arrived at the office we set up a TV and watched in absolute disbelief as it all unfolded before us. Work stopped, phones were quiet all day, it was surreal.
I will never forget that day and every emotion I felt at the time. :us:

i was home sick from school that day. i was asleep and i was having a dream about a plane crashing into the empire state building (strange). my mom woke me up and said that we were being attacked by terrorists and even as a middle school kid i jumped out of bed and started going right to where we kept our guns. after that she told me that it was in NY and she sat me down in front of the TV. Everyone around me that day was so sad, but all i could be was angry.

my uncle who works for nasa was at the pentagon that day and in person watched the plane hit there.

i remember the number of dead/missing getting bigger and bigger every day. it still makes me sick.

sophmore in HS, living in california at the time, my dad was rushing out the door, uniform halfway on and him sweating from rushing, told me to just stay home for the day. just kinda sat around til i my mom came out of the room on the phone and turned on the tv, we both just kinda sat there....our base went crazy. it was a missile defense base so everyone was pouring into work and everyone else was told to go home and stay...
the way the news anchors had no idea what to say, and were just dumbfounded made it more surreal, for once, everyone was on the exact same page

i was in chemistry when the first plane hit. I was in full dress blues. sophomore year. i think i was a cadet captain at the time. man o man. Algebra 2 for the second plane....they say wounds heal with time but this ones still fresh for me. i lost a few friends that day. One was a fire fighter. I'll never forget and call me what you will but i'll never forgive either.....kill them all
