Those guys suck!Call Southwest steel(23rd ave/Deer Valley) or also Interstate(15th ave/Hatcher)!Alot depends on what diameter/wall thickness your looking for.

There's a local Metal Supermarket here and I've found DOM for less at other suppliers. There plate was a very good price though, kind of hit and miss. Best to check around.

I have been raped twice by Metal Supermarkets because I was impatient and wanted box metal on a Saturday. Shop around. That place sells by the inch and it ain't cheap.

Local metal supply wanted $3.25 for exactly the same stuff, no delivery. That was best buddy price too, lube included. Their supplier is EMJ.

Matter of fact, EMJ was the best price for me here (EMJ-Hayward,CA) also, much better pricing on DOM than M Supermarkets. If you can find one in your area, check it out.

The last time i ordered a small bundle of 1.5 dia .120 wall, 10 pcs. of 20' A513DOM, my price was 1.48 a foot.
these prices are fresh (10-31)
this is from Chicago tube and Iron
Central Steel was 1.55 a foot,
Jourgenson was similar, and was price delivered.
delivery isn't a big deal anyway since we're in the city.
It saddens me to see my fellow fabbinbitches get so screwed.

I cannot believe the price fluctations even from the same supplier. to me $1.97 is not too bad considering we are a small shop an hour from Denver. And the DOM (same specs as yours Beez) came from Chicago.
Am I correct that the EMJ plant is actually in Indianapolis somewhere? I know they also have a facility in Salt Lake. so the longest I have to wait is usually a week, never a problem as deliveries are always a Friday.

the cheapest I can find here in AZ is $6 something/foot. Bend over baby! is what we hear.

Talked w/Theon last night and going to call them today. Other problems came up last night that might put my long arm project on hold......a sinkhole under my house
Was doing the flood irrigation and all 45 minutes of water disappeared into the ground through 5 holes the size of a soda can and started to flood my basement window areas. Luckily it didnt get inside (yet) but I think all my money will be going into tearing up my yard to see how big this water sucking hole is.
