Where do you people come up with these names?

Zoro is my XJ's name. When I got it, it had this antenna ball with the Wal-Mart smiley face dressed up like Zoro so the name stuck.........

Shortly after buying my XJ, I busted the fiberglass tailgate. The only one in the junkyard in good condition was a white one. My jeep is grey.

Once I got the tailgate on, it looked like a rabbit...grey body and white tail, so I named it "COTTONTAIL" after the rabbit in the children's books.

My ZJ is named "the Truck." Before my first date (blind date) with my wife, I mentioned that I was going to get the truck washed before I came to pick her up. She later told me that she thought that I probably had a pickup when I called it a truck.

I'm hoping to get a new (another) XJ in a few months to replace Cottontail. I already have a name picked out for it, so if I get the new XJ, don't be suprised to see this thread re-opened!!!

Somehow I missed this thread when it was new... probably during that period when I was metamorphosizing from NAC to MWC material.

Lawn Cher'... I used to mow lawns, and the Cher' part is obvious. That, and I sometimes carry a folding lawn chair when I wheel. (Gotta have a good place to sit for lunch!)

My initials are BJ, for years buddies have called me 'beejay' and my brother 'deejay', over time it just shortened to 'beej'... Unfortunately, my buddies also use the term 'beejay' for its other meaning, short for 'blowjob', and it also has been shortened to 'beej'. So occasionally, a friend will say, 'Hey Beej, I just got a wicked beej from a chick I picked up last night'. I've stopped being incensed and now just punch them out...

Like some others have posted.... I always went by andreas in the very early days.... probably something to do with talking to a lot of german folks online back then.

Then, when I was signing up for.... I don't even remember what, it was already taken, so I added the year. 97, but that was taken too, so I added the zero.

MudderChuck was my board name on some other sites. It was MotherChuck when I was starter at the local Mud Races, got Changed to MudderChuck somewhere along the line. Mother was a generic nickname, for the guys, that did safety and tech, inspections for most types of racing, back in the old days.
I started using 8Mud here, because my my old name offended some people, with lively imaginations.
8Mud is what you do, if you smile, while starting a mud drag. Also the answer you give the wife, when she asks how the race was.
