Where did you get your cargo racks?

Maybe I'm not looking hard enough but I can't find anyone locally that carries any type of roof rack. I'm looking specifically for one that attaches to the drip rail. I've tried the obvious plaes here but no one has them. I'm not really interested in buying it online.

Mark he said he did not want to order one. You could try driving to Charlotte and hitting up 4 Wheel Parts, or Tarhill 4 Wheel Drive, or Clemson 4 Wheel drive.

Most local places will have to order the rack anyway. so I would call ahead and see if they can have it waiting for you.

Or see if someone local to you can build one and attach it to Thule or Yakima rails. This is how I attached mine.

If you wanna support independent places, check out www.carolinarockshop.com. They do lots of fabrication and are located in Charlotte.
Also, you could check out www.wnccustomjeeps.com. They're located near Canton, NC (near Asheville) and also do a lot of fabrication.

I'd just like to see what I'm buying before I pay for it. There aren't a whole lot of Cherokees around Columbia so I don't have much to go on. I'm against the whole roof rack idea but I kinda have to get one. So if I must get one I'm gonna make sure I'm gonna get one I can stand the most.

Amen on that one. You should come to URE saturday I'll be up there. If you know what you want and dont mind a trip to Hartsville and are willing to buy the materials we could build you one in a day probalby.

You should try Gulches. UNF is like a dirt road in comparison.

Maybe but it is a lot smaller. And Tellico makes URE look like a dirt road too, and is a 5 hour drive for me. Gulches is at least 3 I'd bet. I can be to URE for a day run in 1.5 hours.

You'd be surprised how many trails that are there. I guarantee you'll spend all day there. Especially if you're not locked or have a winch.

Just got the 36's last week. From what I have seen in pictures Danial has more rocks then all of Gulches. I have yet to see any pictures of trails there that rival or come close to Daniel. Everything I see is mud, I dont like mud it si boring unless you have a but load of HP and boggers! I'm sure I'll make it there when URE closes. I got a new body to swap all this over to this winter. :wierd:

Lol. Come to Gulches and find out the truth. Daniel can be done with open diffs. Gulches can not. To each his own though.
