That cage is very well done! Nice and tight to the body and doesn't look funny at all other than the boner bar which is way overkill. What is your idea of a "pretty" cage eflores?

I don't think that cage looks good at all. The front looks kind of flimsy. I like the way they pre-bent those outriggers for the stinger, that way they can just go right ahead and buckle whenever the stinger is actually needed. It is also great that it has no b-pillar support, and absolutely zero lateral triangulation. At least he was able to keep the stock roof rack though.

it may look flimsy but its been sat on the stinger many times and has been rolled a few times too...and yet still remains unscathed. the guy who built that cage is an mechanical engineer....looks can be deceiving

I think that all cages look stupid...but that's just my opinion. I also assumed, since they all look stupid, that it was about function, not form.

While on the subject, why worry about protecting a body that is worth $200 by wrapping $400 worth of steel around it...makes no sense to me. I mean if the intent was to keep the body pretty, those cages still fail, again IMHO. A pretty body hidden behind a cage is like Megan Fox wearing one of those fake, fat, Sumo wrestler costumes......

Its about keeping the unibody protected and rigid. Say what you want, but on a rig with no frame the straighter you can keep the unibody the better. I agree with the function over form statement, but a well designed cage is a well designed cage IMO. I don't see what makes that one so much better, but then again we are talking about Flores's opinion anyway. Lol

LOL. I can understand your logic about the unibody...too bad that unibody vehicles aren't the only ones with cages.

The only thing that I like about the one that Flowers posted any more than any other is that it does not distract from the looks of the vehicle too much.

Flower boy just wishes he had an exo-cage. Don't you all remember that if flores doesn't have it... it's not "cool" to have. But when he does have it, whatever "it" maybe, then it's "cool" again.

To each his own I guess. I know my rig is no where near as sweet as Flores's rig, but I like it, and that is what matters! ;)
