Wheels...

So, I have black rock crawlers right now. They're 15sx8s, D windows. Discount Tire says they're bent and that's why i have vibes on the highway. They gave me a brand new set of tires today (warranty) to eliminate the tires as a source. The vibes are still there at 70+, especially around 75.

I love the AEV Pintler wheels, but there is no way I can afford $200+ per wheel. On top of that, I have brand new BFG ATs in 15 that I need to use.

I'm looking for recommendations for 15s that don't cost a small fortune. Suggestions?

Go to the costco in englewood (off santa fe ) they have good deals on wheels

Daniel has the same wheels and the same "Bent Wheel Blues". Seems the D-Hole wheels aren't a good investment unless you're building a mall-crawling Z/WJ.

I'm thinking a set of Cragar Soft 8's might be a better choice.

I had Soft 8s on my red XJ, picked em up new from Performance Wheel and Tire on Santa Fe and Oxford for like $80 per IIRC. Never had any vibe/bent wheel issues and I beat on that rig pretty hard on the rocks.

Funny the soft 8s came up. I was just looking at them. $195 shipped from Summit, though I may be able to find something a bit better locally. Thanks for the heads up guys!

Meh. No pictures, but there's one that lives by me that runs em. I dunno, personal preference but I think they look nasty.

u can get some soft 8s at discount for like 50 bucks guys....

i have the soft 8's in the 17" flavor, and i really like them. ive had 15's too and they are pretty thick centers, and cheap too. ive caught the edges on rocks and they just scratch the powder coat. dont curl at all

Look pretty similiar to canyons. run those and like them, except the backspace. have to use spacers.
