Wheelin this weekend (Jan 8 or 9)

Any you guys wanna go wheelin this weekend? Have any trail suggestions? I'm still new to the area so I dont know all the good wheelin spots in SoCal. Dont really feel like doing something super technical... just a nice relaxing moderate run.

Go out to the Johnson Valley cleanup, there will be plenty of wheelers out there. For a good cause too.

Johnson valley is soooooo far away (2 hour drive?) and metting at 7am! Plus I only know my way to means dry lake bed.

It's closer to Soggy Dry Lake, just one lake over. If you head to Means, You'll drive right by it.

from what direction? I'd be heading up 247 (old woman road?) from yucca valley. So before or artfer Boone Road?

nm... I think I found a good map. thats a pretty big lake. If ya all see a black XJ with 35's Colorado plates and a Pirate4x4 sticker on the back flag me down.

Or anyone wanna caravan out there? would rather not get myself lost.

2 hrs?! Thats it?! My drive will be over 3 hrs and all of my wheelin trips take me over 2 hrs to get to the trail. I will keep an eye out for ya, if you see a Blue KJ w/ roof rack point and laugh at me. There are supposed to be a few KJ's from our club showing up to help. I would bring the XJ, but it's down for some work. See ya there.

There is one caravan being set up from Orange COunty, and then another to meet at Lytle Creek, right passed Ontario.

If your going there from the 15, it's before Boone Rd, if from Yucca, its after. I am in Orange County (Costa Mesa) and will be headed up there as well, but I wasn't planning on going with the other caravan, but you're more than welcome to head up with me, I'd be on CB channel 4. Thinking about taking off at about 4am to get there in time. Let me know.
