I fished from 7 until 4 today in that crap and it SUCKED. Towards the end of the day, I casted and my fly line and a 4" fly actually went sideways and never touched the water. It snowed too.

HOT-DAMN!!! Maybe I can have an open fire in June this year.
It's just something I like to do: Dig a hole in the garden, light some sticks on fire, roast some marshmallows. That was illegal last year, bans were in effect in (I think) June the prior year...I'll take the water, thanks!

We ended up getting nearly a foot of snow.

Been snowing all day up here again. No accumulation until tonight but we've gotten 4-5 now in the last few hours. With 12 days of school left I DO NOT want any more snow days. If we get one more then we have to make it up.

Aspen. Off-season is here and the town is empty.
Sad thing: When the snow melted, a woman's body was found under it. Investigators are saying off-record they believe she left a party last night and fell down a small embankment where she hit her head and passed out. The freezing temps caused her to go into hyperthermia and she died. Bummer.
