What could cause a 90% membership exodus? Pardon my ignorance on other club histories. I tend to choose a group that I really like and stick with it, so that concept is alien to me. We must be doing something right at in light of the continuous growth in membership. Care to disagree, Zuki-Ron?

Not saying its a good idea or not, that is not for me to decide. I'm just stating my view of the value of $30. People complain about spending $30 on membership and that their isn't any value.

But some people can easily spend $5 on a pack of smokes, $10 on a 12 pack of beer, or $2 for some fruity artisian microfiltered glacieral water from the alps. Just an observation.

Not trying to judge just sick of all the :rattle: ...

I found the value of , and it was worth the dues to me.

Abusing folks, especially newbies, is not SOP. It is wrong and against the forum rules agreed to when each and every one of us signed on to this Forum.

Ya know, I've heard that whiny ass BS too many times. I, like every person here, was a newbie once. I took some occasional $hit but, for the most part, was treated fine, got to know people, and fit in.
The difference is, I didn't start this relationship by acting like a jerk and pi$$ing on the local chapter "Can I please be included in a different chapter besides the Midwest Porn Club?" Great way to endear yourself.
Better yet was how you then proceeded to act like we should all try to convince you to join. Wake up, who wants you here?
We, in the MWC, have no problems welcoming in newbies. However, we don't suffer fools well.
If you act like a tool, you'll be treated as such, newbie or not.

Here's a guy who regularly opens up his work facility to MWC Wrenchfests...

As a matter of fact, I think he volunteered the place before anyone asked him...

Just like he volunteered to bring a tent to my BBQ last year...

I've saved hundreds of dollars since I joined ...

and made some good friends...

Keep peddling your issues and I guarantee you're never going to find out what you're missing out on.

All I gotta say is, I'm really looking forward to Winterfest, and it ain't for the beautiful Attica scenery or exciting nightlife.

I don't know why I keep paying my dues. I haven't saved any money from being a member. This club has done nothing but cause problems with my wife and me and nothing good can come from it.

On the other hand, I believe what problems being a member has caused, have made our marriage stronger, because weak points were exploited and fixed for the better.

I guess the dues were worth it after-all. Much cheaper than a good divorce attorney and therapist.
