What's there to do in the Springs?

Update! Plans are finalized... We'll be staying in Canon City from 6/21 thru 6/25... I'm up for fishing on the 22nd and/or the 25th. I'm not dragging my MJ along, but if there are seats available I'd like to ride along on Saturday the 24th. Other days will include rafting and other such activities.:confused1

I'd take you fishing but some of us are heading to Grand Junction and Moab the 22nd - 26th to do a little wheeling.I'm sure Riverboy can get you to some fishing water.

Cheesman WAS fishing excellent and then they turned off the faucets and it was trickling at 50cfs. Hopefully it will be running at good flow when your here. I had a real good thing goin there in the late afternoons for about a week. We'll find something. Bad news is I'll be on the road for 5 days before you get here. I'll keep an eye on the flows and get reports from friends. I'll be able to scout places a day or two before you get up here too and that will help us. We'll get tight lines.

Take him up between Spinney and Elevenmile so he can get into some BIG trout.

Yeah that's a safe bet, although I've been staying away from there since the holiday b/c it's a sausage fest. Cheesman can be the same although a lot of the scrubs don't wanna do the hike in. I find the clientelle to be a little more ethical up there at times.
