This is false. Since when is driving on a a paved road harder on components than rough wheeling? I am not sure if you have any first hand experience with rod ends but if not then I would not be giving out second hand advice.

its not second hand advice. I ran ruffstuff 3/4" heims in my steering, they wore out in less than 2 months.

I was told by ruffstuff that running heims in a DD will wear them out.

its not the harshness of the road, but just the pure mileage put on them. I drive almost 16k a year. nobody does that offroad.

I am actually running ruffstuff heims in my trackbar right now. so far they are holding up, but only time will tell.

Now flex joints....
Those SummitMachine ones do look pretty nice. Lets face it though "Looking nice" and being able to hold up day in and day out to the abuse out rigs go through. I run and vote Currie. Great product and haven't failed me yet. I have RC ones and Rusty's on the shelf. I have rebuilt and rebuilt and rebuilt thoughs. Sometimes ya just gotta know when to say when.
