What would you buy with $30k

I have the lift and the beer fridge but If I put a TV and some kind of game console I'd never get anything done! I get distracted enough as it is.

I'm pretty sure I can put up a 3 bay garage (minus doors, electric, lift etc) for about 5 grand. That's foundation, framing (done myself), siding/roofing (done myself.) I intend to do just this shortly after I finish fixing up whatever house I buy... either the one in Fitchburg I have an accepted offer on, or the one I'm semi considering (if the Fitchburg one takes too long/falls through) in Westminster.

Just a 28' by 38' garage when we do the elect and we did the foundation and digging done ourselves cost us just shy of the 30k mark. And I mean like less then $100 shy.

wow, that's a lot more than I was expecting... I was seeing much lower prices on having the pad poured. What type of foundation, any walls required? This would just be a pad with J-bolts for sill plates pretty much.

I'd buy a XJ with 10 miles on it and DD it. Then I'd sell my current DD and lift the new XJ.
