What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

No, it is just that your post was in the Red River Chapter section.

No need, feel free to drop by and fill us in, but most of the local chapters have the same titled thread as this one as a get to know locals topic, and I suspected you either moved to our neck of the woods, and wanted to know if you were close, or if you had just grabbed the wrong chapter and did not notice it. Looks like a fun project, one I have been luck enough to avoid. Have fun!!!

New thermostat housing has been drilled, tapped, and installed. Broke the new sensder putting it in though. Ever feel like the dumbest man on the planet? Extracted that one and put the old sender in for now so I could get the Jeep back together for my work commute. Picking up a new sender tomorrow hopefully, had to order it since I apparently broke the last one. :P

Probably time to stop using that 6 foot cheater pipe on it? Hard to believe a bass body on the sensor broke before the aluminum threads on the housing gave up????

Only when I installed the old part instead of the new part, or installed it backwards for the 3rd time in a row. :shiver:

Kinda like getting married 3 times before discovering the joys of being single LOL.

Jeep has been making me feel dumb for a while, so I should have gotten use to it by now.

New sender I got on Monday from Vatozone didn't work. Picked up another sender from OReillys yesterday. Slapped it in and it works.

Probably moving at the end of this month, so no more money to spend on the Jeep for a few weeks.

where ya moving to?

Richardson :) So not very far from where I am now.

Another house

unless it rains all weekend like its supposed to im hoping to try and get the rock rails installed finally.

i finally got my idle issue sorted out on my daily driver lexus. the TPS is clockable to set idle RPM. it was just adjusted too low making it stumble at hot idle. now it purrs to a solid 750 in park and 600 in gear. whole thing runs and drives a bunch better now.

ordered new lower control arms for the front of my GTO. the bushings and ball joints were toast and arent serviceable. so once those get here ill need to pop them in, raise the coilovers up a bit as the springs settled around a half inch lower than it already was, which is really low. also while doing that im going to swap the rear diff for the one i have on the shelf. the one in the car has been howling for a while now but has started vibrating as well now. time to finally swap it. ill throw on my anti wheel hop axle shaft as well while i am in there.

picking up a core 4l60 tomorrow to turn into GM when i order the crate trans for my wifes GTO. i dont want to turn in the 2500 dollar built one thats having issues incase its something stupid like the converter having issues. either way we are tired of fighting with it and just want it to run and drive. its been down for a year now. too damn long for our "reliable, easy to drive" sports car. hopefully the built trans is in good shape and i can sell it on for a smaller loss than what we are at now. damn thing only worked for 1200 miles.

and the jeep needs calipers, rotors and pads up front.

it never ends!

Yep never ends for sure. Wifes Armada's ac crapped out. What a pita compared to the Jeep. She has been driving the Jeep and loves the "great" gas mileage it gets comparitvely...

mine went out in the jeep right after i got it all back together after doing the build. i think its just low but havent had time to mess with it yet. work has me all over the country this summer. denver, boston, dallas, san diego, so far then nyc next weekend and san diego again in september. my time on the weekends has been so damn limited lately. when i do find time off all i want to do is lay around and watch tv.

Right???

Do you drive or fly?

Attempted to repack the wheel bearings in the front of the, but they're trash. The rollers are all pitted up. Then found the bent upper link. Pulled out some unnecessary wires.

I installed my rear seat for the first time since December. Of course before I did that I had to clean out the Jeep, then while I was at it I finished trimming up the front fender for the KLR to mount it on my fork brace just above the tire. I also pulled off my center stand because I never use it, but now I need to get new bolts for the foot pegs because the ones that are used with the center stand are too long to use with just the pegs.

While I was in such a productive mood, I also cleaned out my patio which acts as my garage and put the plastics back on the KLR.

If anyone has a KLR and wants a center stand, hit me up.

Johnny V needs photo input!! As I have no idea what a center stand or KLR even is LOL.:roflmao:

Or foot pegs even :-)
