What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Great to hear

I am planning to sell a 92 AW4/With transfer case (working when pulled from a fender bender, pulled as one assy, will be sold as one assy) if anyone is expecting to need one soon.

With my health issues, I have decided to stay 100% Renix XJ, and stay away from the later models.

Pulled my header panel tonight after doing some yardwork. looks like my core support is a bit bent on the right side, and the bumper brackets are pretty bent up too.

Seems pretty easy to justify a tube bumper and glass fenders now.

I hosed the mud off of mine. Taking the front bumper off tomorrow to repaint it. Then I'll be touching up the rock sliders. Wish it was easy to take them off so I can decently repaint them.

Did plugs wires cap and rotor today, worked a bit on getting the front bumper off but the brackets are pretty bent up. gonna try again with some daylight.

started it up for the first time since getting it home, seems like its running way better, the old plugs were pretty shot.

Changed the front break pads on the Buick and found the upper a arm bushings completely shot, like more than half an inch of play so a 10 minute job got a whole lot longer

Got the front bumper off. good news is only the brackets were trashed, not the rails.

Now I need a new front bumper, grill, headlights, header panel, etc.

Got all 3 keys out to rekey- anyone have a locksmith in Houston they use?

I got some keys made at home depot. They won't redo the cylinders though.

Working on front CO mounting

Mmmmm..... Stone

On that topic, I had my first Pliny the elder tonight.

I have stone in the fridge, hell yeah!

Took my front bumper off to repaint it. It looks like poo!

Wouldn't mind repainting the sliders, but those aren't exactly easy to get off and on. I'll do my best with them on.

Passed inspection with the new Jeep today.

PO had told me oh it barely passed last time, probably needs a new cat. Found a report where he tried to get it smogged in April and it failed, miserably.

I did a tune-up on it and got it hot, passed

Took the numbers way down too, only one was even close, low speed HC. But since the engine is burning oil I'm pretty sure that's what's doing it.

On the inspection note,.with older cars that need the "sniff" test I think I read cars 24 years old don't need it is that correct? Also did that mean this year 89s or 90s don't need tge test?

Cleaned up and primered my front bumper. Throwing some paint on there tomorrow or Tuesday.
