What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Replaced cap and rotor yesterday, changed oil, fuel filter and Spark plugs today. Oh, almost forgot, installed new license plate bulbs

Installed an upgraded headlight harness today, that was pretty easy.

Dropped/broke one of my headlights when I was taking it out... guess I'll be getting silverstars now.

Here is something we do not see every day, LMAO!!!

I had to replace the relays on mine (head light harness add on) already, rain got in them. I replaced them and packed the male/female pins in di-electric grease this time, and relocated them so that rain can not get into the relay case. They got wet and killed the battery one day!!!

Yes, they dropped the price to $6,500! Looks like a steal!

Almost finished with the body work on my daughter's 89 Renix!!! Need to go pick up some bulbs, and tidy up the front trim, test the brakes, and steering (from the front end repairs) and get it inspected this week!

The battery desulfator worked like a charm, acts like a new battery now!!

Sweet, found out that 3 of the 4 bolts that attach the header panel to the rad support are broken, jb welded one back on so at least i have 2 that half a$$ hold it now

Jeeps water pump is now chirping. Sounds like the bearings are going again. So I guess I'll add that to the list of things to do when I replace the timing chain, harmonic balancer, and radiator. Hurray.

Any recommendations for a good water pump or just keep slapping in OReillys pumps?

I got my new water pumps from Rockauto that look great (not yet installed, but they are in a box buried and I forget the brand I got ), and I gave up on Autozone, although the last AZ pumps have not actually failed yet, like I thought they were doing a year ago :dunno:

Replaced the front rotors and pads on the new white 89 4WD jeep. Got great brakes now party1:

But we discovered that the passenger side front axle bearing and U-Joint are way past being toast! !!!1The drivers side U-joint is bad, but just barely. This will be the first time I do this job.

I got the mj wet so she decided to throw a tantrum. Wouldn't start till I pulled all the plug wires. Pulled them, put them back and she fired right up

got the new headlights on today

silverstars + upgraded harness is nice! now I just gotta figure out the fog light wiring.

Lubed up the door latches, hinges and locks on the new 89, and verified that the DANA-30 front axle is a Non-disco, so I could order parts for replacing u-joints and ......

After driving to work tonight I'm amazed at the difference the headlight harness and some quality lamps make

got some rocklights installed and the front two wired just have to finish up the rears, clock the t case and I am ready for the trip to Barnwell!!
