Well I may have convinced myself that bench bleeding a MC before mounting (and bleeding the MC) is the only way to fly!!!!
Got the new MC installed on the white 89, 4wd I bought recently (last summer). Then bleed the front of the combo valve, and I seem to have avoided the need for further bleeding, bleeding, bleeding and more bleeding, LOL. The old MC was empty, leaked out the back side. I hope the brake booster is OK. Don't know yet.
Need to replace the battery and cables next to get engine vacuum to the brake booster for further testing. I have never seen battery cables as bad as these were, what a mess.:skull2:
Only other issues I know of are one bad (busted-rusted at the axle) top leaf on the rear leaf spring passenger side, no A/C clutch engagement (unknown A/C condition), and a funky left side seat support issue on the drivers seat. Is was a DD till the brake MC took a leak. Got the rig for $500 last summer/spring, finally have time to fix it.
Also lubricated the hood latch mechanisms, they wanted to stick BAD!!!!!
