What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Its the xj. Don't know when the motor will actually go it. I don't have a trans for it yet (swapping to a manual) and I'm only going to work on it so long in a gravel/mud driveway

Gave the heater core another flush today since it didnt seem to last. Went full strength with CLR this time. Getting a bit above 100 now in the cab just getting it warm at idle so that should be a good improvement.

If it doesnt last again I guess I need to look into replacing the core :(

Oh and I installed my wheel locks for the Rubi wheels.

Can I just say how much I hate tire shops? I had to bust out my impact to break loose the lug nuts. I'm tempted to drive over to them and tell them to loosen them up, then hand torque them like you're supposed to.

Front axle part is easy. I've done that but never the trans.

Replace the inverted torx on top of the trans with normal hex heads, that'll make it easier if you ever have to pull the trans or motor again. I wana say a certain 12 point metric wrench fits tightly over those things but I don't recall for certain.

Sitting at the oil change place, they say the trans and rear diff need service. Figured what the hell do the diff and save me the time. Then I saw they wanted damn near 80 bucks to do it. Ill do it myself.

Replaced my TPS, Chery's back after a week of waiting on one little part. No more driving the Exploder around.

I'm planning on it, but im waiting for my 4x4 swap before I fix it. But autozone has a run on rotella 3 gallons for $13 so I might just leak some more

gallons for $13? No way!!!!

Have you check for pressure in the crankcase, bad CCV lines letting blow by pressure build up and push oil out the seal?

Well I got the new rubicon express front lower bump stops installed, as well as completion of the ox locker cable and shifter install. Just have to install the tnt frame stiffeners, transgo reprogramming shift kit, clock the transfercase flat and install an in cab roll bar. After many weekends of hard work the jeep should be ready for its first outing at Gilmer for Mega Run, March 1-3.
