What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

washed the truck (waste of $5!) painted the bumper, and now the battery is dead. I've got new spark plugs and am looking to get maybe some smaller, lighter, tires and wheels to get more than 12.5 MPGs... Maybe some 31" Moabs and KM2s...

those grabbers are heavy. JP or petersons did an segment about tires and MPGs. my vote for light tires are dunlop mud rovers.

I thought the moabs only came in 16 or 17 inch.
You do think correctly. I think I am pretty sure they make 31s in that wheel size too...

Yeah I saw that same thing. And those 33s on steelies are freakin heavier than my 37s on aluminum wheels!!!

Changed the oil and checked fluid in the transfercase.

Awesome deal. Probably after the new years I'll start hitting the gun shows in San Antonio and Houston, and might be able to help out with this parts train stuff. Nothing too big until we get a trailer. Just gotta wait and see what happens.

So I have a mystery coolant leak. Nothing in the oil, and when I pulled the plugs didnt look like any evidence of a major leak in the walls. Nothing leaks out of the engine at a stop. Not sure what the deal is. Will have to do a test to see if there is exhaust in the coolant and probably do a compression test as soon as I get another test guage.

I parked all my tired old jeeps, and took a long (for me, LOL) road trip - family reunion to Dallas this past weekend. Got a rental car for about $9.85/day, and at the last minute they upgraded me to a new Jeep Patriot, 4 banger, for the same price!!!! Gatta love Alamo, LOL.

Got great mileage, about 26 mpg, at 75 mph average, 3.5 hr trip, about 200 miles. 2WD, had great power....but the rear view mirror and side window blind spots on the Patriot are horrendous!!!!! Can't see shit out of them!!!!! Head rests block the views, and the windows are too small and in the wrong places.

I will keep my XJs. had a great time in Dallas, meet 2nd and 3rd cousins I had never seen before!!!

Have a great 4th of July!!!!

Finaly finished my transmission filter change today with help. I started it Sunday but a wrench slipped and I wound up with an extremely busted knuckle, 3 stitches, and a tetanus shot. I'm now one handed till next week when the stitches are removed.

this jeep has already caused more blood than the others combined!

Wow, I do most of my bleeding in the WALLET!:D I wonder if stitches and and a tetanus shot would help my wallet, LOL!

Planning to got sweat and bleed, working on my jeeps today, unless the weather has other plans?

Neon injectors? What color are they? LOL

Started the Jeep after a 11 day hiatus. Started up no problem. Tomorrow I gotta get underneath and figure out what U-joints have gone bad on me.
