What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

I got the trigger wheel for the Megasquirt mocked up and the head torn down for re-surfacing. Also got the flex brake lines for the lift but not enough time to install before the family get together i did not know about.

What is the purpose of this again? Are you just stripping it for parts or are you actually building something?

seems like a lot of work for nothing????

Build don't tear down... do you have a rig you can wheel????

its not street legal, too much rust, and we dont have a tow rig or trailer readily availability for towing it.

Eric has a XJ that is already 4x4 and good to go, i'm still straightening the front end of my 2wd DD. once i get it back on the road and working. then i'll start my 4x4 swap on it.

Not too mention a engine that is completely FUBAR. The parts jeep at some point in time was completely submerged like Das Boot. We found rot and sediment everywhere. I bought for nothing more than the wheels, sell what parts I could, and for Ian to have a 4x4 drivetrain to swap into a 2wd jeep since those were plentiful and cheap. In fact, he isn't even halfway into what I got into my jeep and will probably have a better jeep in the end. Ain't bad I'd say. Don't forget, Jeeps can be cannibals.

Didn’t work on my Jeep today but did work on my trailer I haul it with. Luckily I noticed one wheel and it looked like I’d ran over something. Closer inspection shows I was lucky I made it home last time without incident. I got to change a tire :( This is the driver side front most wheel :)

While giving the Jeep a shake down and greasing it up for the next trip this coming weekend....... Found my exhaust rattle. At RoM I must have abused my muffler a bit to much on the rocks. The inside of the muffler came unwelded from the main body. It was making it rattle and blocking the exhaust. Sooooo 80 buckes later for a muffler and more adapters as my old ones where welded on my exhaust is fixed.....
