my heart says let it rust into the ground in the drive way while i drive a little subaru around. but in all actuality after i buy my car, my step brother ollie will most likely get the jeep. which means with in a month or so the jeep will be totaled... i just thought of a new username for me. TOI the ender of XJ's

I also did my trans filter and fluid last night. It's the first vehicle I've owned with a drain plug, which was nice, but that two piece dipstick is of the devil. I was up until almost 1:30 am doing it because I started way late after the kids went to bed.

Please, Please don't let that happen. If you're sure that'll happen then just sell it for a couple hundred bucks so you'll have some beer money and somebody else will have gotten a great deal

its not mine thats the problem, if it were mine i would be keeping it and would be at mall crawl status, rather then saggy grandma shopping at dollar tree status. but as i will be on my own and trying to do the whole college thing with in the next two years. probably the biggest mistake i've made since moving to here for the schools was letting my parents sell my jeep, i seriously need a break from the jeep scene for a bit.

Welded my JKS Mini Skids onto my new front axle, put the shafts in, and bolted the new WJ knuckles and unit bearings on. Tomorrow I have do a little grinding on one of the welds to clean it up, and then it is ready to bolt in.

ok so the UPS guy came by, i had no tracking numbers or anything, i didnt even know this stuff had shipped out at all lol
it was a pleasant surprise when I opened the door to find the rest of the parts for my front end redo

Lifted the jeep and traded my shackles for some red anodized superior axle seals.

Yes and no..... It is really just designed so that you can easily set it up however you like with your particular customized suspension setup. They are great for offroad, but from everyone I have talked to they aren't so great on road. I don't run a sway bar on mine anymore (it rarely sees onroad duty anyways, only in an emergency or very short trips), but it does fine without.

not my jeep, but got prepared for swapping my sister's tranny in her 07 Compass by yanking off tires, rotors, etc., down to the axles. Felt like about 20 degrees, i was half frozen, and losing light, so i left the axles in there. i'll deal with it when it's warmer.
On a side-related note, anyone want to help me change out a CVT trans on the Compass sometime in the next week or so? I can provide beer, and i'll give you the choice between punk, metal, or texas country to listen to.
