Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Very niiiiice.... I installed my TC skid, and Gas Tank Skid that Lil Red Wagon built me. Pure beef! If you don't have any skids, I recommend his. Can't beat them for that price either!

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Mr. Red, would you consider making some WJ belly skids for me? I want to cover the entire bottom. Give it a thought and I'll let you know when I have a reasonable amount of cash. :D

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Aint that like the third time you get rid of that XJ? So, how's the Suburu handle?

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Installed my new CSF 2-row radiator last night along with a few new hoses to stop the myriad of coolant leaks on the front of the engine. That quick disconnect is the suck, I wish I had gotten on the forum earlier to see that cutting it off and using a hose clamp was a viable option. My Haynes manual claimed that he QD was only used on '99+ models.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I tried to put the Rough Country Adjustable HD Trac Bar that I got from Rich onto XJ#2 at my house, but it wouldn't work. The damned thing was too short. (that is the part I don't understand, the Trac Bar came with a LONG ARM KIT!!!, and the XJ I was trying to put it on has a 5" lift). I am normally one person who praises Rough Country, but.....just, WTF, what a piece? I am pretty pissed off about it.

Call up Jason at RC, see if they can help. Or maybe contact him here.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I thought about it, but I was doubtful they would since I didn't buy it from them directly.

Did Rich put the drop bracket in the box too. I don't know what was in the box, I just brought it to the post office. That might be the issue, with the drop bracket the bar can/will be shorter as it connects in a different spot then factory.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Yeah it was too short even with the frame end bracket. It just seems kind of odd to me.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Like how much too short? Sure your rig didn't settle to the left and you just need to push it back to the right?

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Well I measured the end of the axle from the "frame", and it is centered under the jeep. With the end completely threaded out (as in no threads at all inside the trac bar) it will almost reach the hole on the mount.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I did a brake job (rotors, pads, bearings) on my 4dr. Still have to switch out the steering to see if that cures my DW. To the rig I did nothing though..
